This unique and fine Afghan Maimana Kilim is a nomadic woven masterpiece crafted by Uzbeks and Turkmen in northern Afghanistan. Using natural plant dyes, this traditional Maimana Kilim features geometric patterns and octagonal designs that embody the region's rich cultural heritage. This piece, dating back around 40-50 years, has never been used, making it a rare find.
The exceptionally beautiful feel of this Kilim cannot be fully captured in photographs. Thanks to our years of experience in restoring and refreshing textile works using chemical-free washing and extremely low mineral water, we have achieved phenomenal results both visually and to the touch. Words like velvet and silk come closest to describing the quality of the fabric.
