This one-of-a-kind vintage Baluch Taiwara rug from West Afghanistan is a rare collector’s item with a special historical motif. Hand-knotted around 1980–1985, during the wartime Soviet presence in Afghanistan, it features a depiction of the legendary Persian hero Rostam Zal, along with the Tree of Life, Sorab, the King, and Persian script.
The rug’s rich, luminous colors include deep blues, warm golden brown, red, gray, green, and striking pink, making it a standout decorative piece. The fringes and pile are in top condition, and it has a unique ornamental border.
